Riverview Gardens High School has an innovative way to help keep the students in the district healthy. The school is the location of the R.A.M.S. Clinic, a school-based health center that provides important health services for scholars and families across the entire RGSD community.

The R.A.M.S. Clinic is a partnership between the district and CareSTL Health. The clinic provides critical services such as school immunizations, physicals, services for acute symptoms such as cold and flu, individual and family therapy and other medical and behavioral health services.

The clinic is staffed by licensed clinicians from CareSTL Health, in partnership with the nursing, counseling and social work teams at Riverview Gardens.

Visitors to the clinic can utilize their existing medical insurance for visits. However, students and families without insurance are also serviced. A key goal of the R.A.M.S. Clinic is to help address health inequities typically suffered by youth from low-income and racial-ethnic minority populations.

The school-based health center has proven to be a great resource in assisting families with completing the required immunizations for school.

The creation of the clinic was a joint effort between Riverview Gardens School District, CareSTL Health, Christian Hospital Foundation and BJC HealthCare’s Christian Hospital.
