After consulting with First Student Transportation and RGSD’s Facility Department, Riverview Gardens School District will return to in-person instruction on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
While the roads are better, we have asked First Student to take their time and be careful picking up and transporting students. We are also asking parents to be patient as First Student does their best to reach all of our assigned bus stops.
In addition, we ask that students arrive at their bus stops a few minutes earlier and stay a few minutes after the assigned pick-up time as our buses will be moving slower than usual to navigate our community safely.
As a reminder, in order for students to be marked as present on AMI days, students must turn in all assigned work from the AMI Days on their first day back to in-person instruction.
Parents, please make sure that your students have completed all of the assigned work and that the work is turned in on Thursday, January 9, 2025. This is the only way that students can be counted as in attendance on virtual learning days.
Temperatures may remain extremely cold for the upcoming weeks. Parents, please be sure to dress your children appropriately for the cold weather on days when school is in session. If your child needs a coat or other winter clothing, please contact your school’s front office. Riverview Gardens School District has community partnerships in place and may be able to help.
