Congratulations to Central Middle School's Mrs. Leonette White-Hilliard (right), Social Studies educator, and scholar Choyce Irving for their outstanding achievement. The two were named finalists for the North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU) Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Contest.
Their efforts reflect the spirit of progress and perseverance that Dr. King envisioned for the future. The contest featured entries from 95 students and adults across the St. Louis region. From these, 12 finalists were selected to present on January 4, which included two from the Riverview Gardens School District!
White-Hilliard represented RGSD at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and presented her essay at St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley on January 21.
Congratulations again to Mrs. White-Hilliard and Choyce Irving!
